Pots were top-dressed with a dry, slow release fertilizer containing 20% nitrogen, 10% phosphorus and 18% potassium. Soluble fertilizer containing 20% nitrogen, 10% phosphorus and 20% potassium was applied once a day or every other day by overhead irrigation. Pots contained a peat moss-based growing medium. Rooted cuttings were transplanted and grown in 20 cm diameter plastic pots in a glass greenhouse located in Salinas, Calif. For the first week, the cuttings were misted with water from overhead for 10 seconds every 30 minutes until sufficient roots were formed. Cuttings were stuck into plastic cell trays having 98 cells, and containing a moistened peat moss-based growing medium. The base of the cuttings were dipped for 1 to 2 seconds in a 1:9 solution of DIP 'N GROW (1 solution: 9 water), a root inducing solution, immediately prior to sticking into the cell trays. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() General Mills launched a similar immersive experience in 2017. The events were designed to appeal to all ages, with the Instagram tag, #UnlockTheCinnaverse showing kids, teens and adults indulging in the experience. “The Cinnaverse Experience paired with Cinnamon Toast Crunch’s new look is all about bringing our fans a fresh, new way to fuel more fun, more color and most importantly – more crunch.” “Cinnamon Toast Crunch is focused on bringing cereal lovers exciting and new ways to enjoy their favorite cereal,” said Susan Pitt, director of marketing and communications for the cereal division. ![]() The Cinna-Milk Whirl’d room offers a taste of that iconic ‘Cinnamilk,’ and a gift shop offers a variety of themed merchandise. Of course, no Cinnamon Toast Crunch experience would be complete without a bowl of cereal. The refresh – announced on July 18 – keeps the purple, blue, green and red lettering but swirls those colors into the background, too.Ĭinnamojis, the brand’s recently appointed mascot, also hold a prominent place on the new boxes. The existing packaging features the brand’s multicolored logo on a white background, with muted cinnamon swirls in the background. So what do you think of it? No word yet on how this branding might extend to the other Toast Crunch properties, but if Sugar Cookie Toast Crunch makes its triumphant return come December, I hope the Cinnamojis at least bring some of my favorite emojis over for dinner. I’m getting serious Splatoon vibes from the iridescent puddles of liquefied CTC Pantone swatches, and I can only wish my own cereal milk was painted with such a powerful technicolor dream coat. May he rue the day he unleashed the scourge of residue.īut besides the boys in beige, I like the rest of what General Mills did with the Cinnamon Toast Crunch color palette. I get that emojis are pretty much pictographic accents, but this looks like they were sort of pasted onto the box like a kid committing the mortal sin of slapping a few Goofy stickers on the side of his mom’s sedan. The new mascots themselves just don’t sit right with me. My thoughts on the new design, including its now-emojified and less-sociopathic squares? It has its ups and downs. Unfortunately/hygienically, it was none of the above, but instead a rousing rebrand of the Cinnamon Toast Crunch we’ve come to know and love (by which I mean immediately recycle as the cereal inside evaporated into the no-longer-thin air of my esophagus). Ooh, or maybe a personal Cinnamon Toast Crunch feeding trough, with two sides so me and the boys can chug some endmilk and also dispose of it baseball stadium style? The early merriment of a new Gingerbread Toast Crunch? When I got an email about a secret Cinnamon Toast Crunch surprise coming to my house, my mind swirled with possibilities: I guess now I can use it to hold…belly button lint? Yes, I was indeed only sent an (empty) miniature box. ![]() |
